American Locks and Keyless Entry

The 2500 series American Locks mean serious business. Hardened solid steel triple - plated body and internal mechanism resist attack, while a rotating cover plate and stainless steel cylinder pins discourage drilling.

Keyless entry for the Cargo Hutch's™ interior locks makes opening as easy as pushing a button. Air pistons push the door open so you don't have to set your tools down to open the Hutch.

We recommend that you secure the Cargo Hutch™ with the American Locks before putting the vehicle in motion.

Dual lock system*

Every time you close the door on your Hutch an internal lock snaps into place automatically. There is no need to remember to lock up after grabbing something out of the Hutch. These internal locks are difficult to get at making bolt cutters useless.

Putting the American Locks on the exterior adds a second layer of protection, which makes the Cargo Hutch™ incredibly secure.

	Rearview camera Offered as an option, this tiny rearview camera has a large field of view. In fact, using it allows you to see more than you normally could with your rearview mirror. The electronic components are prewired in the Hutch so you can run a cable or wireless connection to the cab.
	Personality panels You keep the tools in your garage the way you like them - why not in a tool box? These snap on panels can be configured to hold just about anything. They are especially useful when you use your truck for different activities. Have one configuration for tools, one for camping gear, one for hunting... the list goes on and on. 	Trim Closure The Cargo Hutch™ uses a Trim Closure section made out of 10 gauge steel that goes between the bed wall and the Hutch itself. There is a different Trim Closure for each make of full sized truck. (Ford, Dodge, Chevy, Toyota, and Nissan.) The Trim Closure is also used to install the Side Gates™. Specifications

Do I have to cut into my truck bed?

Yes. Cutting into the bed is necessary to lower the wall and allow for an extended reach into the toolbox. It's a trade off. Cutting the bed means you don't have to jump up in the back of the truck to get something out of your box. In fact, it means you might be able to reach it from either side of the truck. How difficult is it to install?

Installation of the Cargo Hutch™ allows a large margin for error. You can be off by as much as 2 1/2" on the outside and 1 1/4" on the inside. You can almost do it blindfolded. If you have any doubts on the process, watch our installation video.

What if I want to sell my truck but not the box?

We have an innovative product that not only fixes the holes cut in the truck but increases its value. Doors that allow unparalleled access to the truck bed. The real question is, why haven't car manufacturers put these on trucks already? See our Extras Section for more information.

Which trucks will it fit on?

Most popular makes including Ford, Dodge, Chevy, Toyota, and Nissan. It requires a long bed. A version for short beds and flat beds will be available soon. The Cargo Hutch™ uses a Trim Closure section, made out of 10 gauge steel, that matches the body contour of the truck. But the Hutch itself remains the same for all the different types of trucks.

Will the paint job match my truck?

The Cargo Hutch™ ships in a standard white powdercoat that will match most white pick-ups. We currently do not provide any custom paint services, but the Cargo Hutch™ can be painted at any auto paint shop. See our Product Specification Section for more information.
